Where it all began

Zimmer Magazine is a physical and digital independent magazine rooted in curiosity and driven by a love for language. Founded by Heidi Kewin and Vincent Zimmer, we uncover the literature you didn’t know you were missing, exploring the spaces where stories, culture, and critical thought intersect.

Since our founding in 2023, we’ve built a community of readers and writers who believe that literature is not just read, but lived. Through our features, essays, and creative work, we invite you to slow down, read deeper, and discover something you didn’t expect to find.

Access to the magazine can be found through individual purchase or subscription.

A note on AI

At Zimmer, we champion the written word and human creativity. We believe in the irreplaceable value of original thought, personal voice, and the craft of writing. We do not accept AI-generated content. All pieces published with us must be entirely human-written. We take this seriously. Writing and submissions found to contain AI-generated content will be immediately rejected, and the writer will not be invited to submit again.

We recognise AI tools can serve as aids (e.g. researching a particular topic), but the writing itself must be yours.

Frequently asked questions

Can i make changes to my order?

We cannot change orders once they have been placed. Your order is immediately processed within external centres such as our print house and shipping house, which means we are unable to make any amendments to your order.

If you have received your order and it is damaged or not in the advertised condition, please contact hello@zimmerbooks.com and we will happily look into the issue for you.

Are any purchases final sale?

We are able to offer refunds on any magazines as long as the request has been made within 14 days of purchase. The magazine should also be in the original condition, with no opened packaging. At this time, we are unable to refund shipping costs. If you would like to return an item, please email hello@zimmerbooks.com with your order number and reasoning, or intention, to return.

When will I get my order?

We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. We aim to process orders within one working day, however delays may be caused by weekends and UK bank holidays. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase. Orders outside the United Kingdom may incur larger fees which are due to pre-existing laws or regulations to which our print house must adhere.
